war child.............

Today was eventful!! Oh how I don't like eventful days! But it was infact one of those days!! It started well, I was getting ready for a fun birthday lunch for my friend Holly. I love pei wei, and was soo excited for my child free lunch with friends. I dropped off my little men at auntie cheryls house, and they were getting ready to go to the park for a picnic. Kyle was very excited, Brody not too happy I was leaving him, but loves cheryl too. I was on my way! I got to pei weis and we were all sitting down waiting to order when I got a phone call..... The only words I could hear were..." Kyle..... face plant..... stitches!!!" I was out of the restaurant like a flash! I went speeding down the street creating in my mind a horrendous scene including unconscienceness, lots of blood and even an exposed skull (yep my mind is cruel to me), tears flooded my eyes as I imagined my sweet baby crying for me. I continued my race home, hoping not to overtake any police in my crazy state! I arrived at the scene, only to find a rather composed kyle with a mere bandaid on his forehead. I was overcome with relief, it was way more managable than my crazy mind had created! I got in the car with cheryl and we continued on to urgent care, Cheryl assured me that I would not like to see what was under the bandaid, and by the condition of both cheryl and Kyles stained clothing, I took Cheryls word, and decided to try and avoid it if I could. On the way to the doc, Cheryl explained that Kyle had been running ahead with his cousin, and they had fallen into eachother and Kyle had hit his head hard on the kerb! OUCH! We went into the office and Kyle had to be strapped down tightly to keep him completely still. I think this is what scared him the most. He was crying so much I thought my heart was being ripped to shreads. It was horrable feeling so helpless. He kept saying through his sobs..." I just want to go home" It was heartbreaking!!! But I tried to hold myself together so that Kyle could be brave, I had to try and distract him from his discomfort by telling him all his favourite stories, which he kept correcting me on (because apparently I was not telling them right). Anyway, so sweet little Kyle had to get 8 stitches in his forehead. When we left the doctor, Kyle could have asked me to buy him a puppy and I would have done it! It is amazing that when you see your baby so helpless and in pain, how much love you feel for them, I love my little Kyle soo much and am soo grateful that his birthmother made the difficult decision to place him for adoption, and I am even more grateful that she chose mark and I to be this special child's parents, It is an honor, and I need to remember that more often! we love you Kyle, and hope your head feels better soon xxxx

Here is kyle at bathtime, and then all creamed and bandaged up again ready for bed. I still think he could have a career as a model (but I might be biased)

try not to smile when you look at these pics...... its impossable!

yep its true....... we have
scrummy little boys!!!
