Ok I can't sleep until I record this one, as I might forget this in the morning.
We had quite a busy afternoon today which began at the doctors office, Kyle took a drink from the water fountain and completely soaked his t'shirt, so he took it off. We went to see Julia next, Kyle walked in with his manly exposed chest and played for a few minutes before needing to go to the bathroom. I followed him in there only to find a pair of damp transformer underpants on the floor and his jeans back on! I asked him what happened and he said "a little bit just "camed "out!!" I felt the jeans and they were dry, so off we went to our next stop, which was cheryls house. He played downstairs for quite a while, and when I went down to check on him he was completely starkers! I asked kyle what was going on and he said..." yep it just "camed" out again!!" so I said... "well Kyle now you are totally naked!" to which he responded very matter-of-fact, "No I am not totally naked, I still have my socks on!!!" sure enough, there he was wearing nothing but a red pair of socks and a cheeky smile!!!!!

Ok we have moved! We finally have internet and phone! oh my goodness that was torture!! (yep I would make a rubbish pioneer!) so we are home sweet home! I completely forgot how stressful moving is! I am glad to say we are pretty much unpacked and settled. I will add pics of the house later.
The biggest challenge so far, has been trying to help Kyle adjust to his new surroundings. He has not enjoyed this experience one bit! Let me explain.......... We were living in a neighbourhood with one of marks sisters living directly behind us, and one sister living directly across from us! Kyle and his 2 partners in crime (they know who they are) were inseperable. Kyle had quite the little social life, and my phone was constantly ringing with invitations for kyle to go and play with his special cousins. It has been hard for Kyle to move away from his perfect world, and he has sobbed his heart out on many occasions, which breaks my heart. I have heard that his moving was not recieved too well on the other side either!! We have had to drive back and forward to keep the little friends happy! poor little kyle! Brody on the other hand, has had quite the opposite reaction to the move, he has settled in very well, and is especially happy to be living directly across the street from his cousin evelynne (who is only 6 weeks older than him) They have become best friends and go back and forwards to each others house constantly. Poor kyle misses his friends soo badly!! I took him out on a little date to coldstones this morning, so we could hang out, and I have also enrolled him in a preschool by our new house. I know he will make lots of new friends soon, and he will ALWAYS have his wonderful cousins!!!
this pic was taken after the kiss, (I could never catch the actual kiss) but believe me, there was much kissing! I dont know what it is about my boys and their cousins!!!!!

kyle: mummy?
me: yes kyle?
kyle: If I pulled my arms off, would it bleed?
me: Yes it really would!
kyle: ok, I wont pull my arms off
me: I am very glad!

Today was eventful!! Oh how I don't like eventful days! But it was infact one of those days!! It started well, I was getting ready for a fun birthday lunch for my friend Holly. I love pei wei, and was soo excited for my child free lunch with friends. I dropped off my little men at auntie cheryls house, and they were getting ready to go to the park for a picnic. Kyle was very excited, Brody not too happy I was leaving him, but loves cheryl too. I was on my way! I got to pei weis and we were all sitting down waiting to order when I got a phone call..... The only words I could hear were..." Kyle..... face plant..... stitches!!!" I was out of the restaurant like a flash! I went speeding down the street creating in my mind a horrendous scene including unconscienceness, lots of blood and even an exposed skull (yep my mind is cruel to me), tears flooded my eyes as I imagined my sweet baby crying for me. I continued my race home, hoping not to overtake any police in my crazy state! I arrived at the scene, only to find a rather composed kyle with a mere bandaid on his forehead. I was overcome with relief, it was way more managable than my crazy mind had created! I got in the car with cheryl and we continued on to urgent care, Cheryl assured me that I would not like to see what was under the bandaid, and by the condition of both cheryl and Kyles stained clothing, I took Cheryls word, and decided to try and avoid it if I could. On the way to the doc, Cheryl explained that Kyle had been running ahead with his cousin, and they had fallen into eachother and Kyle had hit his head hard on the kerb! OUCH! We went into the office and Kyle had to be strapped down tightly to keep him completely still. I think this is what scared him the most. He was crying so much I thought my heart was being ripped to shreads. It was horrable feeling so helpless. He kept saying through his sobs..." I just want to go home" It was heartbreaking!!! But I tried to hold myself together so that Kyle could be brave, I had to try and distract him from his discomfort by telling him all his favourite stories, which he kept correcting me on (because apparently I was not telling them right). Anyway, so sweet little Kyle had to get 8 stitches in his forehead. When we left the doctor, Kyle could have asked me to buy him a puppy and I would have done it! It is amazing that when you see your baby so helpless and in pain, how much love you feel for them, I love my little Kyle soo much and am soo grateful that his birthmother made the difficult decision to place him for adoption, and I am even more grateful that she chose mark and I to be this special child's parents, It is an honor, and I need to remember that more often! we love you Kyle, and hope your head feels better soon xxxx
Here is kyle at bathtime, and then all creamed and bandaged up again ready for bed. I still think he could have a career as a model (but I might be biased)

Ok, so I decided to pay tribute to scottishness today! I thought I would start with my oldest sister emma's family of.................. wait.................... 10 children!! yes thats right I said 10!!!! Eight girls and then two adorable boys!!
First is Rachel Emily, she just turned 17, and is a lovely girl! She is very clever, and a responsable, good girl!
Second comes sweet little Sophia Kathryn 15, she is the most helpful, caring girl I have ever met! She might be 15, but she will still give me hugs and sit on my lap!!!
Here is Polly Beth, 14, Polly is creative and fun to be around, she is friendly to everyone, and has a beautiful smile.
Charlotte Louise is 12, (right) she is soo funny, and energetic. Charlotte loves to dance and entertain others!
Lovely Alice Julia is 10, she is a tomboy and loves sports. Alice is soo sweet!
Next comes Annabelle Novak 8, she is loving and kind, she loves to please others.
Jennifer Grace 6 (left) likes to be funny and silly, she is crazy and keeps everybody entertained. She is the accident queen!!!
Isabella Rose 4 is very quiet and talks in a whisper! She loves music and is a good singer!
Jonas Elliot 3 is the first boy! He thinks the world revolves around him (because it pretty much does) He is funny and cute, and he is very fascinating to watch in a house full of girls!
Gorgeous little Enos Joseph is 7 months, (the second boy) he has a big gummy smile! He knows how to crawl, and eats like a pig!

When I was a wee girl, growing up in Scotland with my family of nine, We did not have much money, and my mum would create all sorts of interesting combinations, ( she would throw whatever was going bad in the fridge right into that pot!), and that would be our "tea" (dinner). I was probably the pickiest of her children, and I would not eat anything with onions, meat, sweetcorn, cornflakes, mushrooms, curry, any vegetables, etc etc..... I would find different ways of trying to dispose of my meal without my mum knowing. My most creative idea was to shove as much food into my mouth as possable, and run into the bathroom and spit it out in the toilet!! (no I dont have an eating disorder). Another classic was.... I would mash up the offending "food" and put it under my plate (inbetween my placemat) and then I would carry the placemat and plate together into the kitchen sink! (yep that one was brilliant!)
As I grew into a teenager, I began to open my mind and mouth to most foods, I now love nearly everything that is available to the tastebuds! There is only one problem, I am a brand name snob! My mum used to shop in a place called "shoprite", It was known for its cheap prices, and their slogan was... "No frills, no fuss" (The idea was, that the packaging was very simple and cheap, so that they could keep the prices low!) My mum was hooked! She loaded up on the value items! The name was ..... "no frills" and our kitchen cupboards were riddled with this "brand". (oh the thought makes me shudder) no frills beans, bread, jam, no frills yoghurt, cheese etc. I walk into the bathroom to be greeted with ..."no frills" toothpaste, soap and shampoo, and dont even start me on the "no frills toilet paper!!!!" oh it was terrable!!!
I would spend my time trying to hide various "no frills" items. In the hope that my mum would go to "tescos" and buy some heinz and campbells etc. My mum doesnt work that way I'm afraid, and she continued to stock up on "no frills". Finally, when I was 18, we moved house. Conveniently our new house was located right next door to "Tescos", My mum began doing all her shopping there, and it was bye bye to "no frills" and hello to "tesco value". Tesco value was not as offensive as "no frills" but I still didnt understand why she couldnt just buy the "good stuff!"
I am now a mummy myself, and I now understand why she couldnt buy the "good stuff", when we are going round the shop, I usually choose the store brand, unless it just cant be compromised e.g toothpaste, shampoo etc.
The reason I have rambled on about my snobbery, is because yesterday I learned a valuable lesson. Mark and I had taken the boys to the cabin overnight, and we drove into showlow, to get some pizza. We ate all that we wanted, and asked for a box, to take the rest home. We stoped at circle K to get some milk, and we saw a man there, rummaging through the rubbish bin, We decided we should offer him our left over pizza. ( I was worried that he might be offended, but we thought we should ask him anyway) So Mark gave him our leftover pizza, and the man was so grateful, as we drove off, I looked at him through the window and saw him tucking into the pizza. It made me cry, and I felt so spoiled and lucky! I have always had warm food to eat, and have been surrounded by people who care about me. I was grateful for the opportunity to teach kyle and Brody about people who are less fortunate than us, and how we should love and help eachother. I want to try and be more frugal, so that I will have more to share with whoever needs it. I hope that I can be less snobby about the brand names, because there are people who literally dont have anything! I am so blessed!

A woman and a baby were in the doctor's examining room, waiting for the doctor to come in for the baby's first exam. The eye-candy pediatrician arrived, and examined the baby, checked his weight, and being a little concerned, he asked if the baby was breast-fed or bottle-fed? "Breast-fed,"she replied. "Well, strip down to your waist," the doctor ordered. She did.
He pinched her nipples, pressed, kneaded, and rubbed both breasts for a while in a very professional and detailed examination. Motioning to her to get dressed, the doctor said, "No wonder this baby is underweight. You don't have any milk." "I know," she said, "I'm his Grandma, but I'm glad I came."

I just had an ultrasound and saw my growing baby! We got to hear the heartbeat too which was beautiful. I absolutely love being pregnant it makes me very happy. (it helps that I don't seem to get sick at all). My only real symptom so far is...... extreme HUNGER!! seriously, I eat my breakfast at 8am, and by 10am, I am ready to rip my stomach out!! I went to "in and out" burger at 10am on Tuesday!! I am definitely going to get massive again this pregnancy! oh dear!
so anyway, we are all very happy, and enjoying this special time of waiting and preparing for our new little bundle! Its all sooo exciting!
I recall mothers day, (not so long ago) when I sat in church and buried my head into my dress and sobbed, never knowing if I would ever get the chance to be a mother. (it was my only desire). We adopted sweet baby "Kyle Mark" in November 04, and finalized in may the following year. He was sealed to us in the temple the day before mothers day. It held such significance to me, and the sorrow that I had experienced the year before, had been replaced with a joy that I could hardly contain. Being sealed to my special little boy, was one of the highlights of my life! It is sometimes difficult to see the whole picture, and trust in Heavenly Fathers hand.
I am soo grateful for the blessing of adoption. I am also very grateful for medical science, and its role in bringing our sweet baby "Brody Glen" into the world. I am so excited to be carrying another little miracle inside me, and for the opportunity to be a mother! It is my favourite job in the world!!! I feel so honored to be able to raise my little boys. kyle impresses me every day with all the amazing facts he has learned, he knows some Spanish, he recites the 1st article of faith, he even knows Marks mobile number! He is so clever and mature for his age and I am so proud of him. Brody makes me laugh my head off everyday with his feisty little attitude... The other day he said to me (completely out of the blue) " I no like Tacobell anyMORE!!!" (em... ok!!!????) Whenever I put him in his car seat, he starts screaming impatiently..... "air on!! air ON!!!!!" ( in Arizona weather who could really blame him?) I really do feel so blessed, I feel like I am living in my dreams, and I get to share it all with my best friend Mark!
